Manifest Vegas 2024 – Wrap Up
For those who have attended Manifest Vegas before, you will agree that it really is the leading supply chain and logistics conference. Manifest Vegas brings together the most comprehensive ecosystem of innovators who are at the forefront of transforming the future of end-to-end supply chain and logistics.
The uTenant team is back from Manifest Vegas 2024 with a quick rundown of our experience at the conference. The three-day conference (5 – 7 February 2024) was packed full of engaging sessions, exhibitors, innovators, tech entrepreneurs and so much more. Here’s our wrap up of the event.
Highlights
Manifest Vegas 2024 showcased the latest advancements in tech, including AI, automation, robotics, digital transformation, and the role that technology plays in ESG and supply chain resilience. Our key highlights:
- Engaging with 3PL providers based in the USA – The sheer scale of the 3PL landscape lends itself to being a market that requires continuous evolution to stay ahead in a rapidly changing digital landscape. The Australian market can learn a lot from our global counterparts.
- Learning about various innovative solutions that have been implemented in the USA – Did you know that in 2023, Amazon’s fastest delivery was 15 minutes and 29 seconds? Via drone. Arguably the best innovator in the industry when it comes to express delivery to consumer, we can’t wait to see what Amazon does next.
- Speaking with likeminded individuals and collaborating on ideas – We can’t share anything just yet, but we’ve come away inspired with new ideas to keep improving our online platform.
Takeaways
One overarching theme of the conference was the importance of embracing the change that technology is bringing. The key takeaways for organisations to focus on:
- Moving into 2024 and beyond, digitisation will be at the forefront of the supply chain and logistics industry, driving rapid change. Whether through disruptive technologies or creative problem-solving, digital innovation was identified as a key driver of success.
- Sustainability and reverse logistics will be key focus areas for 3PL providers and product owners (brands) alike. The circular economy and product life cycle will continue to drive innovation in the supply chain, and if you don’t have sustainability in mind, you’ll be left behind.
- With an increase in digitisation, organisations need to be hyper vigilant of cybersecurity in the industry. Investing in cybersecurity is essential in the digitisation age to protect sensitive data, maintain trust and reputation, comply with regulations, ensure business continuity, and mitigate emerging cyber threats. It is not merely a choice but a necessity for organizations looking to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Networking
With 5,000 attendees, there was no shortage of opportunities to connect with industry peers, potential partners, and thought leaders. We met some amazing folks from all over the globe, swapping stories, and bouncing ideas off each other, with the potential for some of these connections to turn into exciting collaborations and partnerships down the road.
One of the most incredible exhibitors at Manifest Vegas 2024 - Apptronik. Imagine a robot for humans; better yet, check it out in action. Applications at the moment are in warehousing and manufacturing, but Apptronik claims the possibilities are endless.
Probably the best networking opportunity of all was one that was quite unexpected but very welcome. We give you, the puppy lounge!
All in all, Manifest Vegas 2024 was an awesome experience. We're buzzing with energy and ideas, ready to take on whatever the future throws our way. Thanks to Manifest for putting on such a successful event.
